Purchasing this wonderful "chamber jazz" album, I followed in the footsteps of "LeAhcim Retsehcnam", who owns a splendid jazz/fusion/avantgarde collection. This excellently sounding live recording shows in an exemplary way how the confines of contemporary jazz can be vastly expanded - here by fusioning a piano-bass-drums jazz trio with a classical string quartet, and incorporating classical counterpoint composing techniques.

I bought this album as I really love piano trios. Sunna has a lovely straight ahead style whilst throwing in the odd avant-garde left turn. What really surprised me is I keep coming back to her again and again. This is music that gets under your skin. All three are consummate musicians. Check out ‘Summertime’ for the perfect example of how to cover a classic in style.

Sunna is an amazing artist with a keen sense of harmony and a constant inventiveness. In addition, she has a very original style and a touch immediately recognizable. Sunna is one of my favorite artists.
